LCD-7100V
Gniibe bought LCD-7100V, the 7.1 inch LCD monitor.
It accepts VGA input as well as NTSC.
It cost JPY18,800.- at T-Zone akihabara, but you can buy it cheaper, around 16,000 or so (according to Kakaku.com).
USB High Side Switch (2)
Gniibe opened U2H-G4S, and found that it uses
AIC1526 for USB High Side Switch.

Gniibe sought the circuit omitted in many USB hub.
It is the circuit to control power, called LDO or High-side Switch.
WD4000KD with SiI3114
Gniibe connected WD400KD (good one) to host adopter with SiI3114 chip.
Transfer sometimes failed (with Linux 2.6.14) for SiI3114 chip, while it worked with Promise SATA 300TX4.
Gniibe bought other two Promise SATA 300TX4 cards and replaced SiI3114 cards.
WD4000KD
Gniibe bought nine WD4000KD (seven of them were gotten this week).
Three of them were broken, these were not recognized.
All of three had a "DATE: 13 AUG 2005".
