Athlon64 has been down
Athlon64.fsij.org has been down for 18hours or so, because of kernel panic.
Gniibe went to Ohtemachi, and did upgrade of kernel to 2.6.15.
GPLv3 discussion at FSIJ

Trac updated, but not fully
FSIJ uses Trac. Gniibe updated last year, but
he forgot to update templates.
He has fixed today.
Font Forge and Japanese fonts
Gniibe considers about Japanese fonts and their development.
He should have talked with Kanou-san and Kamichi-san as well as Morioka-san at CodeFest Kyoto.

Serial ATA II
Gniibe bought WD4000KD-NA.
Connected with SATA4P-PCI card (Silicon Image 3114), disks sometimes were recognized, but sometimes not.

FSIJ Board Meeeting
Today, FSIJ Board Meeeting took place in Akihabara.
CodeFest Kyoto, SummerDoJo, Japan Debian Mini-Conf, ... gniibe found there will be many events on October.
Also, talked PyPy, changed web pages of FSIJ to Trac, took lunch together.

Gniibe needs to visit MOJ registration office to
get registration records.
SATA Disks
Gniibe thought procurement of hard disk drives. Six drives of 400GB, and
two drives of 500GB, which will be 100GB of RAID-1 for system,
and RAID-5 of 8x400GB for storage.
This week, gniibe will order three of 400GB, perhaps. The candidates are:
But, according to SATA Linux status report, gniibe should avoid Seagate because our machine uses Silicon Image chips.
malic
For Summer-dojo-2005, FSIJ has three projects.
One of them is malic, an application to recognize human face.
DNS setting mistake
Gniibe connected Athlon64 machine, and modify DNS entry for fsij.org domain.
But sometimes it didn't work. Gniibe examined all NS machines, and found that a machine named HIKARU could not retrieve information from master.
That's because of ACL. HIKARU has two IP addresses, and connection came to master through unexpected IP address. Changing ACL (including another IP address of HIKARU), it got fixed.
Storage for Snapshot.Debian.Net (4)
Gniibe 'mke2fs'-ed 320GBx8 RAID-5 with a notebook computer of Panasonic (kernel 2.6.9). The version of e2progfs was 1.37.
But ukai has noticed it's too small:
/dev/md0 39G 33M 37G 1% /mntWeird. Gniibe mke2fs-ed again with version 1.38, then it got fixed.
/dev/md0 2.1T 129M 2.0T 1% /mntWow, it's more than 2TB.
